Designer notes
Vacon Homes’ attention to detail needed to be highlighted in every design I’ve created for this company. I had recently had custom shelving, a mantel and fireplace installed in my home by Vacon Homes. I used this as a base for my designs for them. Simple yet sturdy is what came to mind.
Logo design – From my experience, monogram screamed simple yet sturdy. When I’ve worked with monograms I’ve always been intrigued by the balance of the intertwining letters. Intricate, yet simple, well not really. To achieve this I had to play around with the letters to get the angles right and puzzle it in just right. Once visually done correctly it looks sophisticated, or in other words simple. (simplicity is the best form of sophistication).
Website Design – The digital experience for a custom carpentry brand must serve as a virtual extension of the workshop, prioritizing high-fidelity visual storytelling and user-centric interface design. This website architecture utilizes a minimalist, grid-based layout to showcase high-resolution project galleries, allowing the texture and precision of the woodwork to remain the focal point. By integrating Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) through structured data and semantically rich project descriptions, the platform ensures maximum visibility across AI-driven search discovery. The technical framework emphasizes responsive performance and a fluid UI, featuring streamlined navigation that guides homeowners and architects from initial inspiration to a secure, professional consultation. The result is a sophisticated digital portfolio that mirrors the craftsmanship of the physical builds—clean, durable, and meticulously finished.
